Final: Part 2

A. What I liked about this class was that it gave me information and knowledge about the things we researched on. It expanded my ideas on what I want to be when I am older and what it takes to become those things. I like how this class is so inspirational and the quotes that we deliberate on in the student success statements. It makes me want to better myself every day and become a better person. I like how this class moves you and pushes you into creating goals and trying to reach them no matter how hard it is. I don’t dislike anything about this class.

B. We could improve this class by doing more individual research on jobs that we are interested in but other than that I think everything is fine.

C. I think I really did do my best in this class and put effort into giving my opinion about everything and learning new things everyday.

D. Sometimes I do read my goals, other times I don’t. I know what I want in life and who I want to be when I grow up. Even if I am not reading my goals every day, I have them in the back of my mind.

E. I am committed to being a CTR person, because I person should always try to be their best. A person should want to be good and do whats right, and that I try to do whenever I have the opportunity.

F. I promise to eat healthy and take care of my well being, and do the things necessary to keep myself healthy.
Final: Part 1

The Interdisciplinary Unit Showcase was a really good experience because I had never done nothing like it before, although it was quite difficult. Starting the project me and my group got the disease “Congestive Heart Failure” which is when blood doesn’t get to all parts of the body and fluid builds up. It was great because I actually got to learn about the disease, and that there is different types of heart diseases. We had to do an essay and a power point. For the essay everyone got a paragraph to do. Whether it was the introduction or conclusion or an argument, we all got one paragraph. We then put it together.  got the first argument paragraph to do. I didn’t like the fact that we had to come dressed to school and all, but it was kind of fun. I know this was our first year doing this, and it was a fun experience and hopefully we get to do it again. We had many weeks to work on it and get it done. I was really nervous when it was time for the actual showcase, because it was going to be a grade for all the classes and that is very nerve-racking. Also because professionals were going to come see us present. That really freaked me out, because I dislike public speaking and giving presentations, and especially in front of very important people. I am very glad its over with and that we made it. The day of the showcase I came to school all ready to present. I hadn’t studied my index cards very well so I was nervous. My teammates were also really nervous. We were going to present in Ms. Ross’s room and I saw through the door all these women sitting down. we then proceeded to go inside the room, and they presented themselves. We then started to present, I was second to speak. When it was my turn I tried to remember all the tips and what to do and how to act and say it. You were supposed to maintain eye contact with the audience and speak loud and clear. I hadn’t memorized my cards so I was constantly looking down at them because I couldn’t remember, but I still tried to maintain eye contact. I feel like I did speak loud and clear, although I did stutter a little bit. Overall I think it was a great experience and it was fun. I hope I got a good grade because I feel like I put a lot of effort in it. I don’t think I could’ve done it without my teammates. So I am thankful for the teammates I got because we all helped each other. I hope I could get to do this experience again.
“When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad.”
Abraham Lincoln

I think what this quote is trying to say is that when you commit good things you feel good inside and perhaps proud of yourself, but if you do something bad, you feel terrible inside. So if you want to feel good all the time you should do good things that will benefit you in some way. If you do something wrong, consequences will come to you. When you do something bad, you know its bad so why do it?

“Always do right.”
Mark Twain

I think what mark is trying to say is that the key to greatness is doing right. Doing what is right and being nice and not expecting anything in return. When you do the right things, good things will start happening to you. Doing wrong may just bring you consequences. It wont lead you anywhere. So I think he’s trying to tell people to be the best they can be and to be a good person.

When you tell one lie it leads to another
Paul Hatch

When you tell one lie, it leads to another
So you tell two lie to cover each other
Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,
You’re in trouble up to your ears!
So you tell four lies to try to protect you
Then you tell five lies so folks wont suspect you
Then you tell six lies and you’ll collect
A life filled with worries and fears
‘Cause you can’t remember how many lies
you’ve told
And half the things you sat aren’t true
And sometime you’ll slip up, you’ll trip up
    and then
Whatever will become of you?
So you lie and lie without even trying
And each lie you will keep multiplying
‘Till the whole wide world will know you’re lying
   Then you’ll be
      Suspected
   Detected
      Rejected
       Neglected
     Disliked
         And you should!
When you lie, you’re closing the door
      On everything good

“When you tell one lie, it leads to another.”
Always speak the truth
Paul Hatch

When you tell one lie, it leads to another. I believe in this statement and it’s very true. Lying brings a lot of consequences. The first lie you tell the more you’re going to say. Especially if it’s a big lie and not a little white lie. Things escalate quick when you tell a big lie. There’s outcomes to the lies you first tell and then you have to tell more lies to cover it up. It is bad to lie to someone or something. You can always just say the truth. It is not so hard. Honesty makes you a better person.

The 3 questions:

1. Can people trust me to do what’s right?
2. Am I committed to doing my very best?
3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
Lou Holtz
“If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”

I think that people can definitely trust me to do what’s right. I wouldn’t do what’s wrong and suffer the consequence. I would say that I am committed to doing my very best but not fully committed. If I was fully committed then I would actually do anything possible to do my very best. There have been a lot of chances to do my very best but sometimes I don’t take them, and I think that’s what I need to work on. Being fully committed. I always treat people the way I want to be treated. I don’t believe in being unfair. I hate people who are unfair and I dislike people who treat others wrong.

What i did the past week for vacation wasn't much. I didn't really do anything. For Thanksgiving my family came over and my cousins and we had a lovely dinner and we talked and watched movies so it was nice being able to spend time with them. I also went black friday shopping really early friday morning. We had to wait an hour outside of BestBuy because we were going to buy a laptop and yeah, it was freezing and i was really sleepy, but it was fun.
Physical Fitness
“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”
President John F. Kennedy
I think what this quote means is that to be able to have great ideas and a great mind it is necessary to have a healthy body. Intelligence and skill will function when your body is healthy and strong. Physical fitness is not only keeping you a healthy fit body, it is also helping your brain be creative and adding intelligence. Physical fitness is important to have a creative mind. Intelligence will only function when you’re healthy and strong.
