Airline Pilot

Duties and Responsibilities: Pilots are responsible for the operation of the aircraft, the safety of the passengers and crew members, and all flight decisions once in the air. They must highly contain a professional image in both conduct and personal appearance, and communicate with passengers and crew during flights.

Salary: $115,000

Education: A degree is not always required, but a bachelor’s degree may improve job prospects. A commercial pilot’s license and instrument rating are required. Airline captains also need an airline transport pilot certificate. 1,500 hours of flight time for an airline transport pilot certificate.

Reflection: Becoming an airline pilot seems fun and something I’d like to do. It’s a good paying job and you really have to dedicate your time and effort if you really want to become one.
