Cardiologist

Duties and responsibilities: Cardiologists are physicians who have received additional training to prevent, diagnose and treat conditions of the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and the body's blood vessels. They will diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases and many will perform both minor and major diseases.

Salary:  $350,000
Education: To become a cardiologist, you must complete a pre-med bachelor's degree.  All doctors must complete a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program. You must have at least three years of college to enter a M.D. program, but many students complete a bachelor's degree in a science-related subject before entering a M.D. program.

Reflection: I would want to become a cardiologist because the job seems interesting and something I’d like to do. It’s in the medical field and it doesn’t take so long to become one. I like jobs like these that help people and a cardiologist might already be one of the options on what I want to become.
